One doesn’t need a Superman cape, a pair of tights or a limitless array of larger-than-life powers to protect the innocent. Hundreds of young people affirmed this when they took part in a pro-life demonstration in the afternoon hours of Sept. 1 along New York Street and Oakhurst Drive in Aurora.

Most people sought relief from the summer heat July 7 by heading for air-conditioned facilities. However, a small group braved the heat and gathered on the corners of several large intersections in the Joliet Diocese to protest legalized abortion in the United States.
