McNamara hosts first annual Rosary Bowl

Published Apr 19, 2007

The end of the school year is always an exciting time for everyone. Students and teachers alike are ready to start their summer vacations. As the beautiful weather begins to set in, everyone is ready for a little bit of summer. This year, Bishop McNamara High School will end its school year on a different note. This year, Mac will be hosting its first annual Rosary Bowl. With a name taken from the historic Rose Bowl, it is only fitting that the Rosary Bowl will be held at the McNamara’s own Memorial Field football stadium. On May 19, everyone will be invited to gather and share in this beautful ritual. From 6-9 p.m., all will gather to pray the rosary with the intention of peace in the world. The praying of the rosary will be followed by Mass and Benediciton. The goals of this Rosary Bowl are to enhance the prayer lives of families and communities, to strengthen unity in homes and communities and to help foster world peace. This beautiful prayer will prove to be the perfect ending to another school year as well as a perfect way to start the summer.
